If you run Device Manager and look under "Sound, video and game controllers" what do you see? Is the IDT audio device currently running the IDT driver that you installed? I have also tried running the Windows Troubleshooter, and following all of its suggestions to no avail.

So, then I went to the HP website, and looked up drivers for this laptop, and found that the audio driver is not listed for Windows 10. I can "adjust the volume" from either the control panel, taskīar, or by using the designated FN keys, but no sound comes out.Īlso, no alerts under the Device Manager. Using the drivers that Windows installed, "Speakers (High Definition Audio) version 0.16384", yields no sound out of the laptop speakers, nor any sound coming out of the headphone jack. HP ProBook 4540s running Windows 10 Enterprise. I certainly don't want to hijack this thread, but I am experiencing the same issues that Masuk described.
